Most people travel to Mission Ridge to spend time at the impressive ski resort that can be found there. Mission Ridge ski resort is located on the eastern slope of the North Cascade Mountains in central Washington state. The resort is known for its great winter sun and superb powder. All levels of skiers have a choice of pistes over 364 hectares of fantastic terrain.

The runs are divided into 10% for beginners, 60% intermediate and 30% advanced. Advanced and expert skiers will enjoy the challenging variety of moguls, chutes, trees and bowls. The longest of the runs is eight kilometers and night skiing is available from 16:30 to 21:00.

Other winter activities and facilities at Mission Ridge ski resort include: snow tubing, snowshoeing, snowboarding (terrain park and half-pipe), helicopter tours, ice-skating, sleigh riding, snowmobiling, swimming and telemarking. As an alternative, there is a movie theater and a museum to explore in Wenatchee, along with many restaurants and lounges. Nearby Leavenworth is known for its love of beer.

Mission Ridge ski resort provides a sunny and pleasant ski experience. The terrain on North Cascade Mountain suits intermediate levels with gliding runs, while presenting more than enough excitement and challenge for more experienced skiers. Although the resort doesn’t have slope-side accommodation, it does have adequate skiing and childcare facilities.

The best snow conditions at Mission Ridge ski resort are found at the end of January and throughout February, and the ski season runs from December to April. Mission Ridge resort is easily accessible from Seattle or Spokane airports, from where you can transfer to Wenatchee by hire car or shuttle bus. From Wenatchee, a free shuttle bus to the resort is available throughout the day.
